Senior Female Team

Season 2020/21 marks the first season for the Mtarfa Women Senior Team to participate in the National Women's League. Mtarfa Youth Nursery has been working hard throughout the past few years in order to improve and grow also in the female football. Currently the main priority is that of making sure of creating a solid structure so that the senior team could function up to the utmost level. In order for this to be achieved a lot of work is needed especially at an administration level and also on a coaching level. This is why we decided to fully equip the female senior team with a certified administrator, UEFA A and UEFA B technical staff that will make sure that all players will get the needed training to be fully prepared to face the opponents. All of this shows that the Mtarfa YN has been working hard in order to achieve this important milestone.

Furthermore, Mtarfa YN has been also working hard in order to sign promising players within the female senior team. This is seem to be an important step in the creation of a senior team since in this way we would be prepared to face the opponents and also hopefully achieve positive results. The road ahead is still long and even though a lot has been done still there is room for improvement. Thus, Coach Shawn Meilak who is in charge of the female senior team will be using his experience in the women's football to yield  success in the coming weeks which would hopefully reflect on the field of play. The women's senior team trains three times a week plus a competitive game.

U19 Minors

The U/19 team has been competing in the national competitive league since season 2019/20. Yet, the work has started since a few years ago when the Mtarfa YN had a dream of creating a women's female team that would provide an adequate space for all girls to play the game of football. This is why the administration started working in creating an U/19 team that would consist of female youths that are keen to play and are also willing to learn. We went on a journey that took us through various obstacles that when we look back at we feel that we grew from them and now we are stronger than ever.

However, the road is still ahead and there's a lot of work to be done in order to reach our goals. Yet, we are doing our best to keep on providing the players with the needed football education through well-skilled coached that has the ability to do a great job in yielding success. This is why we look forward to every game as if it is a fresh start of an ongoing journey that would possibly someday led us to achieving our dream. Our dream is based on various principles including that of creating a family based on football and also achieving positive results. Positive results isn't just based upon match results but the fact that one our players improves even just a bit then that is considered to be a positive result for us. The U/19s train three times a week plus a competitive game.
