Senior Team

Mtarfa F.C. were founded in 2006 and were for the first time admitted to the MFA 3rd division in season 2007/08. The first official competitive match was played in the 1st of September 2007, in the 2nd and 3rd division Knock Out Cup against Melita. For the past 13 seasons, Mtarfa's senior team has been playing in the island's Thrid Division football league, and its best standing position result was the 7th place (from 15 clubs) during season 2012/13, a period were the club even challenged from a promotion slot. Mtarfa F.C. are now playing in the newly set-up MFA Amateur League at the Maltese football level.  

The player with the the most appearances for the senior team is the defender Roderick Sammut, who has been in the squad since season 2008/09, with 214 matches. Other players with over 100 first team appearances are Julian Fenech, who is close to 200 matches, Paul Azzopardi, Luke Portelli, Joseph Munyao, Stefan Cortis and goalkeeper Darryl Vella. Paul Azzopardi and Omar Smeir are the club's all-time Top Scorers at the senior level with 29 goals each, followed by Francesco Azzopardi with 20 goals. The largest competitive victory of our club was recorded against Xghajra Tornados, 5-0, a match played in the 1st round of the FA Trophy 2012/13 (5th September 2012). Mtarfa's longest serving coach with the seniors is Haruna Doda who coached the team for 147 matches during two spells.

U19 Minors

The minors have just completed their 11th season in the MFA league's. Their baptism of fire arrived during season 2009/10, with an 11th place (from 16 teams) in the Section D. The following season was definitely the best one so far, again in Section D with a 3rd final rank (from 17 teams). Christian Bugeja has played  the most matches for our Under-19 team with 67 appearances, followed by Gary Caruana (52) and David Zammit (47). Luca Borg and Francesco Azzopardi share the Top Scorers top spot with 40 goals each.
